Human Foods Safe For Cats
Following is the list of human food items that are considered safe and healthy for kitties:
Chicken is completely safe for your cats if cooked properly. Cats should be fed boiled chicken that has not been salted or seasoned with spices. Feeding your cat fried or spicy chicken might upset its stomach, so never do so. If eaten in suitable amounts, boiled chicken is a wonderful alternative to regular cat food since it is high in protein and vitamins.
Cats can occasionally be fed rice, which is healthy and nourishing for them. You may add boiled rice along with boiled chicken, and cats typically enjoy this combination. However, some cats may not eat rice so never force your pet to do so.
This is a very good human food to add to your cat’s diet because it is rich in vitamins and minerals. It is also an excellent food option for cats that are dealing with obesity due to its low-calorie count. Gradually make sure the cat is used to it if it doesn’t like initially. Always accompany oatmeal with a protein component before feeding it to your cat.
Bananas are a healthy option for cats and provide them with potassium and fiber. They are good for their gut health and can be fed as a whole or incorporated into other cat recipes. Bananas should comprise no more than 10% of a cat's daily diet and should be fed occasionally.
Pumpkin is a healthy human food that cats enjoy. These are full of vitamins and minerals and are ideal food choices for obese cats. Pumpkin is also great for cats that suffer from constipation because it is full of fiber and promotes gut movements.
Avoid feeding raw salmon to your cats and instead serve baked salmon that contains no salt or spices. Salmon is packed with protein and omega-3 fatty acids, both of which are essential for your cat's health. Eating salmon can boost your cat's immune system, improve its vision, and make its coat smoother.
Cats enjoy eating spinach, which is a highly nutritious green for them. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, including iron, vitamin E, and vitamin K. However, be careful not to overfeed it as it contains oxalate, which can lead to bladder stones in cats.
Similar to humans, cats also enjoy eating peas. These are also present in some cat foods and can be fed frozen or boiled. These contain high quantities of fiber, vitamin A, vitamin E, etc.
